About the desk
What this site is, and who writes it
This page explains what Charming Lady Pokie publishes, where the numbers in our pokie write-ups come from, and how the site is paid for. It also sets out plainly what this site is not, so readers know exactly what they are and are not getting.
Pokies and bonuses, described not sold
Charming Lady Pokie writes about online pokies and casino bonuses for an Australian audience. We describe how games are structured, what published return figures mean, how bonus terms are usually worded, and what to check before money leaves your account. We do not operate games, hold player funds or run a cashier.
Our partner is referred to only as our partner. We do not name casinos or sportsbooks on this site, and nothing here should be read as a recommendation to open an account anywhere. If you decide to play, the terms on the operator's own site are the ones that apply to you.
Where our figures come from
Any return figure or game detail we publish is taken from provider or operator published material, not estimated by us. Where we quote such a figure we note that it was re-read from the source and record the date of that reading, so you can see how current it is.
A published return figure is a long-run average across a very large number of spins. It tells you nothing about what a single session will do, and no arrangement of bets changes it. We say this where it fits because a session and an average are not the same thing.
What the site earns, and what it is not
This site carries paid placement. Where a page is commercial, that is disclosed on the page itself, so you can tell editorial explanation from paid promotion. The partner relationship is disclosed in the same way and the partner is never presented as editorial opinion.
This site is not financial, legal or gambling advice, and it is not a casino or an operator. We hold no player funds and take no bets. Nothing here promises winnings or a method for beating a game, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Questions
Does this site take deposits or pay winnings?
No. Charming Lady Pokie is an information site and does not operate games, hold funds or process withdrawals. Any money you deposit goes to an operator under that operator's own terms.
How do you decide which figures to publish?
We use figures published by game providers or operators rather than our own estimates, and we re-read the source and note when we did so. If we cannot source a figure, we leave it out rather than guess.
